We were approached by one of our valued clients, Patrick B Doyle Construction Limited, to complete works at the Tattersalls Newmarket Racecourse. We laid approximately 200 tonnes of Red Ulti-colour Porous (permeable) 6mm Wearing Course at the stables under a tight timescale.
We had to ensure that the paving machine was completely clean and clear of any black tarmac, and ensure that we were using only new tools to prevent any cross-contamination. Specific substances had to be purchased in order to conform to the materials laying guide and specifications. Red bitumen was used to seal the edges instead of the standard black bitumen in order to achieve the desired aesthetic.
