SMA base and wearing course, HRA wearing course with chips and SMA PMB wearing course
Taydal were given the opportunity to carry out another install on behalf of Tarmac Trading Ltd, one of our main suppliers of asphalt. They have been undertaking many works within Norfolk on behalf of Norfolk County Council; we have had the chance to assist with many of these.
The work we’re currently undertaking is based on Jellicoe Road, a residential area, which has been undergoing some large refurbishments to the road layout and footpaths. We were asked to resurface many of these areas over various visits to site, with Tarmac informing us when we were required. Some of the areas we were asked to install were footpaths and roadways.
In total, we laid an area of 4139 square meters. Due to this being in several areas, we laid various materials. Some of the materials used on this project were base course, SMA wearing course, HRA wearing course with chips and an SMA PMB wearing course. This project was based over a period of 3 months, with just over 15 visits to site.
