SMA wearing course
Creeting St Mary is a small village based in Suffolk, their local primary school was built in 1871 and has been serving as the village school since then. They recently reached out to Taydal to ask us to undertake some surfacing works within their school grounds.
The primary school required footpaths and a patch of their playground to be resurfaced due to the many years of use and wear and tear. Our resurfacing also included preparing the area for asphalt. The area equalled a total of 470 square meters, to prep this, we planed out an area of 348 square meters and raised the iron work beneath the surface. For the remaining area, we had to remove rubber matting prior to our installation.
Upon completion of the preparation, we installed SMA wearing course throughout these 470 square meters. The full completion of this job took 4 days and was completed during a half term whilst the school was empty, giving us free reign to complete as quickly as possible.
