60mm base course, 40mm SMA wearing course
Based in Sudbury, Best Animal Bedding, are a popular recycled cardboard animal bedding specialist, specifically for horses. Incorporated in 2022, they main store is based in Halstead, but due to growth they have extended their stores and warehouses to Sudbury as well.
Due to this, they contacted Taydal to assist with resurfacing the car park and delivery area at the back of their warehouse. This area required excavations and prep work which we carried out prior to the installation of the surfacing. The area that required excavating was approximately 199 square meters, the prep work took our teams 2 days to complete.
Once the prep was completed, we proceeded with our installation. The material that was installed was a 60mm base course, followed by a 40mm SMA wearing course. This was completed over the last 2 days, as well as bitumen sealing the joints to the preexisting material. Overall, this job took approximately 4 days to complete, leaving Best Animal Bedding extremely happy with their new carparking area.
