UK Potholes regularly reach out to Taydal and ask for our assistance on their projects all over the UK, requiring us to install on their behalf. They most recently reached out to us regarding a install within an industrial estate based on Bangrave Road South, Corby, just off of the A43. The road required a complete resurface and relay due to wear and tear in large areas.
Due to this being a busy industrial estate, the work had to take place overnight with a full road closure. This was to avoid disruption from the regular running of the area, as well as ensuring the safety of our teams. As we had a road closure in place, we only had a limited amount to get this completed, as the road had to be reopened by 6am the following morning.
The area of this road was approximately 1171 square meters and required Steve Lumley Planing Ltd, our good friends, to plane this area, prior to us being able to install the surfacing. In order to complete this within the allocated time, our teams worked in sections alongside Steve Lumley. This meant as Steve Lumley Ltd would plane an area, then our teams would follow behind with their machine and begin to lay 50mm SMA wearing course, as Steve Lumley continued onto the next area. Ensuring max efficiency to have this completed as quickly as possible.
Taydal managed to complete this install within the parameters, soon reopening the road ready for the areas regular traffic.
