Geotextile, 10mm SMA wearing course with PMB
Taydal were given the opportunity to carry out another install on behalf of Tarmac Trading Ltd, one of our main suppliers of asphalt. They have been undertaking many works within Norfolk and we have had the chance to assist with many of these. The latest in this line of works was based within West Dereham.
The works entailed resurfacing a large country lane within the West Dereham countryside, equalling approximately 535 square meters. To do this, we had to begin by planing the area out in preparation for material to be installed. On top of this, we laid a geotextile membrane to the area prior to the installation of asphalt.
The asphalt chosen for this area was an 10mm SMA PMB, this was laid over the entire 535 square meters, and involved 45T of regulating to ensure the surface came out perfectly level and ready to be used.
