50mm DBM base course and 20mm DBM wearing course
Miracle Design & Play Ltd specialise in the design and supply of outdoor playground equipment throughout the UK. Taydal have been working on behalf of Miracle Play for 5 years now on various jobs in and around East Anglia.
They reached out to us most recently regarding an install at Boyton Place in Little Wratting, where they’d recently installed a basketball court. They required our assistance to lay the surfacing for this basketball court. The area for this court was approximately 517 square meters. The material chosen for this basketball court was dense bitumen material, or a DBM.
We used a 50mm thick DBM base course, followed by a 20mm thick DBM wearing course. This is chosen for its resistance and durability, as well as the drainage it offers. A perfect material for outdoor sports areas.
