Taydal Surfacing take site compliance within health and safety very seriously, which means we ensure our teams are trained and retrained as needed in everything we may need on site. All of our teams are CITB trained and maintained.
This new year, there has been some changes within the industry with the courses required to lay tarmac. Therefore, we ensured all our teams were trained and retested with a new course in laying hot tarmac, to ensure our teams are within the correct compliance of all sites.
We spread this training over a the first 2 weeks back from Christmas break, separating our teams over these days. This was to ensure that we could continue works while teams were trained.
All the training being done in house, based at our yard in Ipswich Suffolk by C&C Training. The training included a classroom based training course, followed by a paper exam and practical exam in which, our teams were asked to lay an amount of tarmac to the correct standard.
Taydal are happy to say all of our teams passed with flying colours!
